The period following a transport accident or serious workplace injury is one of the most physically and emotionally demanding times a person can face. At People’s First Choice Australia, as an approved TAC and WorkSafe provider in Victoria, we walk alongside clients from the early stages of recovery right through to regaining the independence and daily function they had before their injury, or finding new ways to live well in the life they have now. 

How We Support TAC and WorkSafe Clients

  • Hands-on personal care and daily living support calibrated to current recovery stage 
  • Community access support that increases gradually as capacity improves 
  • Safe mobility assistance, physical transfers, and post-surgical movement support 
  • Medication supervision, wound care coordination, and health appointment assistance 
  • Transport to rehabilitation sessions, medical reviews, and allied health appointments 
  • Active coordination with TAC and WorkSafe case managers and clinical teams 
  • Psychological check-ins and referral support for clients managing trauma alongside injury 

Our Approach to Accident Recovery Support

Recovery from injury is not a passive process. The clients who make the most progress are the ones with support workers who challenge them appropriately, celebrate their wins, and stay consistent through setbacks. That is the culture we build into our TAC and WorkSafe teams. We know these funding schemes inside out, which means we work smoothly within their requirements without ever losing sight of the client’s own goals. 

As a registered provider with both the Transport Accident Commission and WorkSafe Victoria, we handle all the administrative coordination required by these schemes. Our clients focus on getting better. We handle the rest. 

What We Provide 

  • Daily personal care, hygiene, and grooming support at every stage of recovery 
  • Home management, cooking, and domestic support during reduced capacity periods 
  • Recreational and community access support to maintain quality of life during recovery 
  • Complex care coordination including medical equipment and mobility aid management 
  • Appointment transport and community navigation support 
  • Extended and 24-hour care for clients with high or unpredictable daily support needs 
  • Gradual independence-building and return-to-routine support as recovery progresses 

 

Coordination With Your Treating and Rehabilitation Team 

We work as an integrated member of each client’s recovery team. That means active communication with TAC and WorkSafe case managers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, rehabilitation consultants, and treating physicians to ensure our daily support is always pulling in the same direction as the broader recovery plan.
