NDIS Respite Accommodation

NDIS Respite Accommodation in Victoria

NDIS Respite Accommodation

A proper break starts with knowing someone you trust is looking after the people you love. Our respite accommodation delivers that assurance, and then some.

Too often, disability respite accommodation feels like an interruption to normal life. At People’s First Choice Australia, we deliberately design our respite accommodation experience to feel like a genuine change of scenery. Participants who stay with us get warm, attentive support in a comfortable environment, with programs and activities that make their time with us something to enjoy, not just endure. And families get the certainty they need to actually switch off.

What Our Respite Accommodation Includes

  • Clean, comfortable short-stay facilities staffed by trained and vetted support workers
  • Complete daily living assistance including personal care, meals, and medication management
  • Planned activities and recreational programs designed for resident engagement
  • Flexible booking windows for both pre-planned respite and emergency placements
  • Support adjusted to each resident’s specific disability-related needs throughout their stay
  • Health monitoring and any required clinical care maintained throughout the placement
  • Regular updates shared with family members and regular carers during every stay

How We Make Respite Stays Work for Everyone

Before a participant arrives, we take the time to understand their routines, preferences, and any specific support requirements. We do not try to slot everyone into the same program. Each stay is shaped around the individual so the transition from home feels smooth and the experience itself feels genuinely positive.

Respite accommodation is funded through the Short-Term Accommodation support category in a participant’s NDIS plan. Our team assists participants and support coordinators to schedule and maximise STA stays across the plan year.

What We Provide

  • Overnight and extended short-stay accommodation with 24-hour staffing
  • Personal care, grooming, and daily routine management throughout the stay
  • Medication administration and ongoing health monitoring
  • Recreational activities, community outings, and social programs during each stay
  • Emergency respite placement activation for unplanned carer situations
  • STA budget coordination with participant support coordinators and plan managers
  • Post-stay summaries provided to families and regular care teams
