Assistance with Daily Living

We provide hands-on, respectful daily living support so NDIS participants can get on with living.

Assistance with Daily Living

Getting dressed with support should not feel clinical. Having someone help prepare a meal should feel natural, not intrusive. At People’s First Choice Australia, we understand that the way daily living support is delivered matters as much as the tasks themselves. We are deliberate about matching participants with workers who fit well, communicate openly, and treat every person in their care with genuine dignity.

Daily Living Support We Deliver Across Victoria

  • Morning and evening personal care routines including showering, grooming, and dressing
  • Nutritious meal planning, cooking, and dietary monitoring
  • General housekeeping, laundry, and home organisation
  • Medication reminders, supervised administration, and health appointment support
  • Grocery shopping, errands, and community access during daily routines
  • Structured scheduling and daily routine reinforcement
  • Physical transfer assistance, mobility aid support, and repositioning

How We Approach Daily Living Support

We believe daily support should shrink over time, not grow. That means every time we assist with a task, we are also looking for ways to help the participant build their own capacity to do more of it themselves. It is a subtle but powerful difference that shapes the kind of outcomes our participants actually achieve.

We also pay close attention to consistency. Being supported by a revolving door of unfamiliar workers is unsettling. Wherever possible, we assign a stable, familiar team to each participant so that support feels less like a service and more like a trusted part of everyday life.
